Standard shade fabric comes off a roll in a fixed width. When your window is wider than the roll, the fabric has to be seamed together, and you see the join. Woven-to-size is different: the fabric is woven by hand, on a loom, to the precise dimensions of your window. One continuous piece, no seams, no banding, edge to edge, however grand the opening.
A finished room is a thousand small decisions, and the window is one of the largest surfaces in it.
