He engineered race cars on Colorado State's Formula team, where a missed tolerance ends your race against a wall. He worked the oil and gas fields as an engineer with Smith Services, where a skipped step is never just an inconvenience. In every one of those worlds, the rule was the same. It must work perfectly, every time.
Then he came into the world of luxury home technology, and was shocked homes were still being wired and worked on weeks after the family moved in. A drawer full of remotes, and a number to call when something failed again. To an engineer trained where almost-right could get people hurt, none of that was acceptable. So he built QAV into a company that works the way he thinks.
