A True Collaboration
QAV joined the project as the technology partner, working hand in hand with the homeowners' interior designer, Grand Impressions. That collaboration mattered, because in a home this considered, the technology could not announce itself. It had to live inside the craft, seen only when wanted and invisible the rest of the time. So that became the brief: make a sophisticated smart home disappear into a classic manor.
Televisions That Read as Art
QAV specified art frame televisions, displays that wear paintings and photography when they are not in use, so the walls read as a gallery rather than a media room. The technology hides behind art, and the art is always on. We love the art frame TVs and especially love upgrading from the standard plastic frames to custom frames in leather, suede, real wood, and alloys.
Speakers Hidden in the Library
Then there is the sound. In the great room, floor-to-ceiling shelves hold the family's library, and tucked among the books are the speakers themselves. Music fills the room from no visible source, a quiet sleight of hand that lets the architecture stay pure while the home stays full of sound.
Two Stories of Motorized Glass
The signature gesture is glass. The great room opens through an extra-wide wall of sliders that climbs a full two stories toward the view, and QAV dressed it with motorized window treatments that span the entire expanse and glide in near silence. With a single touch the room can soften the afternoon sun, hold its privacy after dark, or open completely to the Front Range. The same intelligence carries into the kitchen and other key rooms, so light and view are always exactly as the moment asks.

QAV also integrated security and surveillance built for a private estate, with watchful eyes on the gates, the entrances, and the grounds, so the family enjoys the seclusion of the mesa with complete peace of mind.
