Some homes are built for looks. This one was built for music. A Marc David Homes design-build in Greenwood Village, it is beautiful in every conventional way, an elegant modern home with a chef's kitchen, a moody library, a grand piano, and even a hidden office tucked behind the shelves. But its soul is sound, and that is where QAV came in.
Music in Every Room, from No Speaker You Can See
QAV filled the home with audio everywhere, using invisible speakers that vanish into the walls and ceilings so the music seems to come from the architecture itself. A Samsung Frame television wears art until it is showtime. And every note runs through a Crestron system, so the family can send any source to any room with a single touch.
The Turntable That Plays the Whole House
Here is where it gets special. The homeowners love vinyl, so QAV installed an Italian Gold Note turntable and fed its warm analog signal back into the Crestron system. Drop the needle in the music room and the record can play through the entire home. QAV even added a Little Fwend tonearm lifter, a small, ingenious device that gently raises the needle at the end of the album, protecting both the record and the stylus while the owners keep entertaining. Analog soul, modern reach, and not a scratch to worry about.
A Theater You Feel
The living-space theater brings the cinema home. Its television is dressed in a Leon Profile Edge media frame, art on the wall until the lights go down, and concealed James Loudspeaker PowerPipe subwoofers deliver the kind of deep, physical bass you feel in your chest but never see in the room.
Inside and Out
The experience carries outdoors, with an outdoor television and audio for entertaining under the Colorado sky, all backed by Wi-Fi engineered to reach every room and every corner of the property.
Still to Come
And this home is only getting started. Future phases will add motorized window treatments, landscape lighting, more outdoor audio and video, and an L-Acoustics sound experience, the same technology behind the world's great concert stages, to fully bring the concert home.
A library, a piano, a turntable, and a house that plays them everywhere. This is what QAV loves to build, technology in service of the things people love most.
You will never see the work. You will only feel the home.
