Estancia is one of the southeast metro's quiet luxuries, a private enclave of custom estates on the Centennial and Aurora line, set on generous lots with the Front Range on the horizon and the award-winning Cherry Creek schools nearby. It is the kind of address where a home is built to be lived in and admired in equal measure. This one, built by Thomas Sattler Homes and designed by Godden Sudik Architects, is bright, modern, and gallery-clean. QAV was brought in to do what it does best: shape the light, and let the art and the sound come alive.
Light, Drawn in Clean Lines
Lighting is the soul of this home, and it is where QAV did some of its most celebrated work. Warmth was the goal, a way to soften the home's cool, modern lines, so QAV layered a custom lighting design on the Crestron platform, using luxury Proluxe fixtures alongside a handful of bespoke pieces developed just for the estate. A large linear chandelier floods the great room with ambient light. Tubular pendants focus the kitchen island, while under-cabinet and toe-kick accents add a quiet glow. And on the stairs, a jewel-like fixture hangs suspended in midair as you climb.
All of it answers to Crestron, with zero-flicker dimming and scenes that carry the home from bright morning to warm evening at a single touch. Paired with motorized shades on the tall windows, the light is always exactly right. The design was striking enough to earn the home a place in CE Pro's 2024 Home of the Year coverage.
Art That Sings
The most memorable moment waits at the end of a hallway. There, a piece of art is presented and lit like a gallery wall, and it does something you do not expect. It sings. A SoundTile turns the art itself into a speaker, so music fills the space and travels with you as you move through the home. Art you can see, and art you can hear, in one quiet stroke.
Screens That Belong on the Wall
Throughout the home, art-frame televisions wear custom frames chosen to suit each room, so a screen reads as a framed piece when it is off. It belongs, rather than interrupts.
A Bar with a Glow
In the bar, QAV added LED lighting that gives the space its own after-dark energy, a cool and considered glow that makes it a destination when the evening turns social.
A Theater to Disappear Into
For movie nights, a dedicated home theater delivers the full experience. QAV provided the audio, the video, the seating, the control, and every detail in between, a room engineered to pull you in and hold you there from the first frame to the last.
Sound Beyond the Walls
Outside, the experience continues. QAV extended audio into the outdoor living spaces, so music carries across the swimming pool and the sport court, and a Colorado afternoon in the backyard sounds as good as it looks.
Light, art, and sound, woven together and made effortless. That is what QAV brought to this Estancia home, and it is why a house this modern still feels this warm.
You will never see the work. You will only feel the home.
